The sign says " The Allerton Oak: One thousand years ago Allerton [Liverpool] did not possess a court house and it is believed that the sittings of the hundred court were held under the spreading branches of this tree." I feel so lucky to have this beautiful park right around the corner from my house. I'm so proud of all the parks and green space we have in Liverpool- something people don't realise about our great city.
