The Monzen-nakacho district was my best discovery of this stay in Tokyo. Lively and popular, relaxed and family-friendly, and also rich in ancient heritage represented by the Fukagawa Fudou-dō temple and the Tomioka Hachiman-gū shrine.
The latter offers a flea market once a week. in January, not many people, but still a dozen stands, and I had the simple joy of buying a pretty original print from the beginning of the Meiji era, for a very modest price. 😎
